Don is a corporate finance manager with Focus Consulting. Don is a chartered accountant with significant experience across a range of sectors providing corporate finance, assurance and consultancy services to clients. Don previously worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers and has been involved on a number of high profile assignments for multi national blue-chip organisations, working on national and international assignments. .

He has considerable experience in working with businesses and organisations from owner managed to multi national organisations. Among his key specialisms include financial modeling, business assessment & due diligence in addition to assessment and design of the internal control, financial reporting framework and governance structure of complex organisations. He has developed an expertise in the area of financial modeling and forecasting assisting with the delivery of business analysis, investment appraisal and strategic development.

Previous Experience

Don has considerable experience in the Construction sector in addition to a broad range of retail, manufacturing and hospitality sector assignments. He has worked with some of Ireland’s leading developers and is currently engaged by a number of development companies providing assistance to clients with the transition of their loan portfolio to NAMA. He is regularly involved in completing independent business reviews for submission to banks and private investors while working closely with the company’s multi functional team in financial modeling and strategy development.

He has significant experience in assisting SME indigenous clients with the preparation of Business Plans & Investment Memorandums with a view to raising capital from debt and equity sources. He has worked extensively with large multi national businesses in the Information Technology sector in addition to a broad range of manufacturing clients including assignments in USA, Poland, UK and France.

Background

After completing a BBS (Accounting & Finance) in the University of Limerick Don undertook his training with Price Waterhouse Coopers and successfully completed his final admitting examinations in 2007. He subsequently joined the Corporate Finance division of BDO before joining Focus Consulting. He is an Associate Member of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
