John is a Chartered Accountant and Associate Director with the firm. He has been instrumental in the delivery of business planning and financial modeling solutions for a large number of high profile assignments across a broad range of sectors.

He has considerable experience in the areas of business restructuring, reorganization and planning, due diligence assignments, preparation of independent accountant reports in addition to financial structuring for large commercial transactions. Among his key specialisms include the delivery of detailed financial models and forecasting tools to assist in the delivery of successful assignments. John is regularly retained to work on feasibility studies and financial modeling for business planning programmes for both private and public sector clients.

Previous Experience

John has developed his expertise having worked on a broad range of medical, aviation, hospitality & leisure, green energy and property assignments. He continues to provide advisory services to some of Ireland’s largest hotel groups and companies in the aviation sector. John has also played a lead role in the delivery of the regions most significant commercial projects in the Primary Care, Green Energy and Property sectors. He has been involved in a number of MBO’s working with senior management teams in the food and manufacturing industries.

John is part of the Focus Consulting team that is involved in the delivery of strategic reviews, feasibility studies and business planning for a significant number of the regions leading SME’s and Public Sector Agencies through the provision of financial modeling and analysis support. John has also been involved in the preparation of a large number of Independent Accountant Reports in respect of a number of medium to large enterprises.

Background

John English graduated from the University of Limerick with a Business Studies (Accounting & Finance) honours degree in 2004. He subsequently joined the firm of BDO Simpson Xavier in September 2004 and successfully completed his ACA final admitting examinations in September 2006. Prior to joining Focus Consulting John was a Manager in the Corporate Finance division of BDO. He is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
